Performance/Installation

postgraduate course / 2 semesters / 60 ects

DOES NOT PROVIDE AN ACADEMIC DEGREE

OBJECTIVES

The postgraduate course Performance/Installation aims at the acquisition of competences of professionalizing skills, at the level of applied research, which ensure the recognition and the widening of professional opportunities in these domains, through the promotion of the direct contact of the students with national and international contemporary art agents. The main goal of this course is, therefore, to provide individuals with artistic skills in the most advanced fields of creation in the domains of Performance and Installation in a national and international context. In this sense this course aims at:

  • Providing skills at the level of time-based art, investigating the performative action and the creative processes as an integral part of the artwork, in order to integrate the practice of Performance and Installation in complex performative objects, potentially of inter and transmedial nature.
  • Providing skills in the field of artistic production, namely at the level of financing, logistics, management and promotion of competitive projects in an exhibition context (national and international) and, consequently, in the context of national and international specialized art publications.
  • To contribute to the qualification of professional practices, individually or collectively developed, competing for the conception, production and reception of contemporary art and culture considered in a broadly form.
