The mission of the Library of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon is to organise, process and make available documentation and information to students, teachers, researchers and staff, in order to support their academic and functional activities, regardless of the type of medium in which it is found, in the most efficient and effective manner.

The Library offers a range of services that it develops in order to meet the needs of its users:
- On-site consultation and reading;
- Home loans;
- Interlibrary loans;
- Self-service photocopying service;
- Scanning and printing service;
- Access to bibliographic and full-text databases via UL network terminals;
- Reference service;
- Training activities;
- Viewing of videocassettes and DVDs.
documentary collections
Consisting of Portuguese and foreign bibliography. Size: approximately 14,000 monograph titles, 30 current serial publication titles, 10 discontinued serial publication titles, 40,000 slides, and a collection of multimedia material with approximately 5,000 document types. It also has collections of academic works by professors and students of the Faculty and a considerable collection of Portuguese art flyers.

In order to disseminate and facilitate access to the research carried out by our Centre for Research and Studies in Fine Arts (CIEBA), the library is making all CIEBA publications available in open access in the UL repository.
In the UL repository, you will find all books and parts of books, periodicals and other documents related to CIEBA research in its collection.
Access is also possible through the CIEBA website.
