Opening of the 2026/27 Academic Year ULisboa

On 17 September, the University of Lisbon will hold the Solemn Opening Session of the 2026/27 Academic Year.
Marking the beginning of a new academic year, this Solemn Opening Session of the Academic Year, is an important milestone in the University’s academic life, bringing together the entire University of Lisbon community.
The ceremony forms part of “Bem-vindo à ULisboa”, the University’s welcome programme for new students, which takes place on the same day along the Alameda da Universidade. The programme includes the distribution of welcome kits to new students and a Sunset Party.
