wandering bodies – noah alhalel exhibition

Noah Thor Alhalel’s sculptural works embody tensions between oceanic ecologies, biological bodies, states of being, and material essences. In Alhalel’s solo show, Wandering Bodies, there’s a concrete connection between his hands, his sculptures, and the way he transmutes the diverse figurations of mollusk or crustacean husks from the shore, shaped by oceanic flows and evolutions, into works of art shaped again by his vision.

This poetic sculpture exhibition takes us on a journey into the surface of our acidifying oceans and to the deeps of our unconscious.

This is a result of the incredible journey the artist had within the past 2 years of VICARTE Master’s program through the research and development of different acidic solution applied on glazes and enamels as well as a practical work in ceramics with the use of Raku firings and other techniques like glass blowing.
