This conference is organized by the Center for Studies and Research in Fine Arts (CIEBA). CIEBA is an international and interdisciplinary research center focusing on all aspects of Fine Arts research, including history, arts policy, aesthetics, artistic creation, and new media. There will be special attention on themes such as scenography and its actors in the formation of taste, its place in society, and existing collections from around the world. Organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, the conference intends to open an international dialogue around the theoretical, historical and technical dimensions of scenography. The aim is to find and facilitate an international dialogue that allows researchers working on these issues to get to know each other, and to help each other.
