CAP – Public Art Journal Volume 1 call for papers is now open!
Theme of the 1st volume
The present Call for Papers is about Memory, Heritage and Narratives in Public Art. These themes were selected because they are essential for the best understanding of the present stage of development of Public Art. Dealing with how Public Art relates with time, as their meanings transform and adapt, generating needs for new interpretations, also addressing conservation issues both physical, narrative and symbolic. These are mere hints for the as vast as possible approaches in the reply to the present call. They can rely on experiences and reflections, theoretical or/and practical, techniques, methodologies, personal interpretations, all are welcome within the determined formats.
The working languages are Portuguese and English and the double bind review will be done by the Scientific Committee.
Write your paper in one of the following formats:
- Article – full papers ( ± 5000 words);
- Essay – Working Papers ( ± 1000 words);
- Reviews ( ± 500 words).

31 January 2019 – Deadline for submission of call for papers;
1 to 31 February 2019 – review of received articles;
1 March 2019 – selected articles announcement and invitations for presentation in the Lisbon University Fine Arts Faculty Public Art Seminars to take place in April and November 2019.
